3 Chicago Seven Trial
English-Russian dictionary of regional studies > Chicago Seven Trial

4 COINTELPRO
Согласно отчету, обнародованному в ноябре 1974 министерством юстиции [ Department of Justice, U.S.], некоторые из этих мероприятий могут "считаться в свободном обществе отвратительными" ["be considered abhorrent in a free society"] и проводились фактически безконтрольно. Первая операция КОИНТЕЛПРО была направлена против Коммунистической партии [ Communist Party of the United States] (1956).

6 UNDER
Under one's hat = under wraps —
Under the table —
Underwhelm (to) — не впечатлить.
To go underground — уйти в подполье (скрываться от ареста).
